{203/365} #lookingforlight_365_2018 . O Lord , you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord . You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand! I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me. I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night— but even in darkness I cannot hide from you. To you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to you. You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me! Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life. Psalms 139:1‭-‬18‭, ‬23‭-‬24 NLT .

Sneak peek at a new drawing. This is an old piece I sketched over a year ago. I went through some of my recent sketchbooks last week and found some gems I want to finish. Also, that sea green watercolor is everything 😫😍 🌊🐳🌊 . . . #artistsoninstagram #tacomaart #tacomaartist #seattleartist #surrealism #surrealismartcommunity #trippyart #psychedelic #weedandart #cannabis #greencrack #copicmarkers #seattleartist #surreal #artformentalhealth #depression #watercolor

Missing my family right now ❤️

self portrait on mt baldy & some thoughts about grieving ✨🗻💭 . a month before i left for college i experienced grief for the first time. it turned my world inside out and upside down. five years into grieving I have accepted that it is still an awkward and self-conscious process for me. I have found that grief can be extremely isolating and one of the most hurtful things you can do is compare your grief to someone else’s. after my friend died i spent so much time judging and analyzing my reaction. was i overreacting? was i under reacting? we had been in a dumb fight before he died and i felt like maybe i didnt have the right to feel as sad as i did, but thats not possible. if ive learned anything in life its that no emotion is wrong or incorrect. sometimes grief can feel like a competition but its not, all pain is valid. if I could give any advice it would be to not question your emotions. there will be a lot of them and some of them will be scary but you just have to feel them all and let them pass through you. you can't heal it unless you feel it. dont let anyone tell you that your reaction is too much or too little, everyone reacts differently and every reaction is real and fair. now is a time to take care of yourself and to appreciate those around you. now when I look back I dont think about what level of friends we were when he died, i just think of him and his light and how much I loved him. I let everything go except for the love that we had for each other and that is something that we will always share no matter where he is. there is no set time span for grieving or celebrating the impact that someone has had on your life. so if i want to celebrate his life and share his light with others i’m free to do so until the day i die because that is my right as a grieving human and no one can judge me for that, not even myself. . #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #nami #artformentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #mentalwellness #mentalhealthwarrior #mentalhealthart #selfportraits #youarenotalone #recovery #stigmafighter #breakthestigma #grief #suicideprevention #griefsupport #griefjourney
