⬅️⬅️**swipe for 100 yen worth of gameplay**⬅️⬅️ ====================== It’s more Super Analogue NT for another day of #rceworldcup2018 and I wanted to post at least one racing game this week, thanks to my buddy @pablo_0151 for suggesting Astro Go! Go! This old loose cart was brought back from japan for me by a good friend of mine a couple years ago. ••••••••••••••••••••• Astro Go! Go! Is a futuristic racer very similar to the original Fzero. The game has bright colourful graphics and uses mode 7 style 3D, unlike Fzero the camera is always locked at a fixed position, it can be a bit odd at first but you’ll quickly get used to it after a couple of races. Astro is a little more forgiving and simplier to play too, you won’t have to worry about your craft taking damage or exploding mid race and if you happen to fall off the track, a helper ufo will quickly place you back on the track. It is a bit too easy to find yourself spinning out however, just nudging walls or coming into contact with other racers usually causes your vehicle to come to a dead stop, tracks are usually pretty wide and you do at least have a shield power up to keep your opponents at bay. This isn’t a bad little racer- it is very light on content and it won’t take you long to see all fifteen of the games courses but was a pretty fun way to kill an hour. The game almost saw an English release and even reviewed by Nintendo Power, but for whatever reason ended up being cancelled. Super Famicom copies are still extremely cheap though and I’d love to get a boxed copy since the art is pretty cool- it’s worth a look! ================= #superfamicom #sfc #supernintendo #snes #fzero #racinggame #racinggames #analoguent #console #cartridge #retro #retrogamer #retrogaming #videogames #videogamecollection #videogameaddict #16bit #retrocollective #rceurope

Track: Mute City Composer: Yumiko Kanki Game: F-Zero Developer: Nintendo EAD Console: SNES // SFC — Revisiting this soundtrack this go around. It's been a crazy couple of weeks, so something out of my nostalgia bucket hits the spot.

Why are we still here? Just to suffer? Every night, I can feel my leg... And my arm... even my fingers... The body I've lost... the comrades I've lost... won't stop hurting... It's like they're all still there. You feel it, too, don't you? I'm gonna make them give back our past! -the captain- (Gn)
